What happens after I submit an assessment request?

Once we receive your photos and description, our team will review the damage and determine what repair options are available. We'll get back to you with a fixed-price quote. If you decide to proceed, we'll send you packing instructions and a postal address. If you don't wish to go ahead, there's nothing further required.

Do I need to send my glasses before receiving a quote?

No. We assess your frames from the photos you submit and provide a quote before you send anything. You only post your frames once you've received a quote and decided to proceed.

Can all glasses be repaired?

Not every pair of glasses can be repaired, and we will always tell you honestly if we believe a repair is not viable or if the result would not meet our standard. The repairability of a frame depends on the type of damage, the material, the construction, and the availability of compatible components. Submitting an assessment is the best way to find out.

Do you repair titanium frames?

Yes. Titanium frames are well-suited to our OptiFix Laser Weld service, which uses micro-precision laser welding to repair breaks, fractures, and structural damage at the join point. Titanium responds well to laser welding and is one of the more reliable materials to repair.

Do you repair acetate frames?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Acetate is one of the most common materials we work with. Depending on the type and location of the damage, acetate repairs may be handled through our OptiFix Fusion bonding service or our OptiFix Restore surface restoration service. Submit photos and we'll advise which approach is appropriate.

OptiFix Fusion is our specialist bonding service for acetate, horn, and composite frames. Using specialist adhesives and techniques developed for optical-grade materials, we reconstruct broken or cracked frames where structural bonding is the appropriate repair method.

Pricing is based on the type of repair required, the frame material, and the complexity of the damage assessed from your photos. We provide a fixed-price quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises. You only pay if you choose to proceed.

No problem at all. If you receive a quote and decide not to go ahead, there is no charge and no obligation. Simply let us know, or just don't respond — there's no pressure to proceed.

Do you offer a warranty on repairs?

Eligible repairs are covered by a 3-month workmanship warranty. If a repair fails due to a defect in our workmanship during the warranty period, we will assess and rework the repair at no additional charge. The warranty does not cover new damage, accidental impact, misuse, normal wear and tear, or failures occurring outside the repaired area. Full warranty details will be provided with your repair documentation.

Do you offer free return shipping?

Yes. Return shipping is included in the cost of every completed repair. Your frames will be returned to you via tracked post anywhere in Australia at no extra charge.

Do you service all states and territories?

Yes. Based in Brisbane, we operate as an Australia-wide postal repair service. We accept frames from all states and territories including NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, and NT.

What if my frames are lost in transit?

We strongly recommend using registered or tracked post when sending your frames to us. This gives you coverage through Australia Post if anything goes wrong in transit. Once your frames are with us, they are handled with care throughout the repair process.

Every completed repair includes our complimentary OptiFix Care Package — a professional post-repair service designed to help ensure your frames are clean, comfortable, and ready to wear. The Care Package may include ultrasonic cleaning, frame alignment, minor adjustments, screw tightening, and a general inspection, where applicable. Included at no additional cost with every completed repair.
